The ruqun top is the most fitted Hanfu style. Measure your bust carefully and size up if between sizes. The skirt is very forgiving — it ties at the chest or waist and accommodates a wide range of sizes.
Tang Dynasty Wide Sleeve
Most forgiving fit
The wide-sleeve daxiushan is the most forgiving Hanfu style. The flowing construction accommodates a wide range of body types. The sleeves are not fitted. Size based on bust measurement.
Heavy Embroidered Styles
Size up for comfort
Heavy embroidered styles have more structure than lightweight styles. Size up if between sizes for the most comfortable fit. The embroidery does not stretch, so a slightly larger size is always better than a smaller one.
Plus Size (2XL–3XL)
Flowing styles are most flattering
